1. It would be natural if they did not help immediately, just gave a regeneration affect. Probably depending on the severity of wounds and having a chance to be destroyed by a physical/fire type attack.
2. Should treat bleed/cross slice wounds (if they don't already), to some extent — cruelty wounds, shattered bones, cripple ambush damage etc.
3. Should not treat blindness (and I also see little possibility for them to treat poison... Some sort of cauterization would make more sense, at least for the types with an entry wound).
