  A wind blows across the plain, flapping cloaks and stirring leaves. Copses
of trees lie scattered along the road, some larger than others. You pass
a traveller from time to time; a merchant and her guards, a farmer and his
young children, even a noble's carriage pushed it's way through. They
seem more friendly than not, however all appear anxious about being this
far away from the city. Clouds race across the sky, dotted by flocks of
birds of all kinds as if moving with a single purpose. The road continues
in all directions. Wild nature creating here some kind of crossroads where
all merchants take a rest after his long travel to the Palanthas.

on the farms. Rows upon rows of vegetables grow in systematically placed
fields along the road, farms sprawling out for miles at a stretch. Most
of the farms are one story wooden buildings, but some of the larger ones
are grand works of red stone. Nearly all of what is grown in this part of
the plains is sold to the merchants and citizens of Palanthas. You get a
few odd stares as you make your way down the road, but nothing more than a
glance. The road continues through the countryside to the east, and west
towards the grand city of Palanthas.

harmonous person who has been wrapped up in ordinary-looking
clothes of boring, dim colors. On a head it is tied bandana.
