Two tall obelisks stand on either side of the trail. Ancient runes are
etched down each of the four sides. As you draw closer to the obelisks,
you can see they are made out of ivory. A cool breeze beckons you from
the north while you can return to the trail south.

A Winter Wonderland
This part of the forest is markedly different. Probably because instead
of being temperate it is covered in snow and ice. A thick blanket of
newly fallen snow covers the ground and the trees are barren of their
leaves. Though the trees appear in hibernation, you can feel their strong
life force emanating from their trunks. You can head back to the trail
that led you here to the south. The forest continues to the east and
west.

A branch lies here, broken from a tree. Apparently the shard of tree was
unable to bear the weight of the snow that had fallen upon it. A quick

fell from. You can climb over the branch and head east, or travel the
trail heading north and south.

deathly quiet. A tightly packed copse of trees blocks your way to the
east. However, you are able to see a sprig of color by peering between
them, a difference from the two-tone landscape.

A Few More Trees
Now, besides both the oaks and pines, spruce trees join the array of flora
in this wood. They are covered in snow, which seems to add to their
majesty, much the same as it adds to the other trees you have seen now
that you think of it. The soft chill breeze continues to blow, but you
are slightly sheltered from it if you stand behind a tree.

bricks blend in with the surrounding snow, making it almost invisible
without careful observation. The water in the pool is frozen, and is
covered by a thin layer of snow. Your instincts would make you believe
the pool to be out of place, but it seems to somehow belong here.

A Shimmering Clearing
You have now entered a small patch of forest devoid of trees. The soft
and new layer of snow that covers this clearing illuminates the entire
area with its radiance. There is not much light to reflect off the snow,
so its illumination must be synthetically induced. You are forced to
stand for a moment, awestruck by the beauty, as you are a bit unwilling to
disturb the peace that has settled in the clearing.

A Path Through the Winter Forest
The path continues on through this forest of winter. Pines, spruces and
oaks surround you, refusing you access into the deeper recesses of the

strong force of life that lies within them.

A Warm Spot
This part of the forest is warmer than that which exists to the west, yet
far colder than that you can feel to the east. The snow is beginning to
melt off of the trees, while at the same time some of the dew on the trees
is turning to ice on some of the branches. You can hear the faint song
of birds coming from the east.

At this point, the forest takes on all the seeming of springtime. Birds

leaves themselves. Beautiful flowers are beginning to populate the forest

By a Beautiful Apple Tree
Before you is a glorious apple tree. Though there are only blossoms on
the tree now, you can see and hear bumblebees going back and forth between
the flowers pollinating all of them while they sip sweet nectar. The
blossoms are pink with red highlights and perfume the area with a sweet
smell. Your stomach growls as you think of the delicious apples that may
one day be on this tree.

Leaves hang from the branches of the trees and a soft warm cool breeze
blows through them. You think you see a twinge of movement out of the

This is a rather interesting sight. On the forest floor grows a ring of
daisies. Though this would probably be nothing any other time, these
flowers form a perfect circle, flawless and complete. It must be magic,
for nature could never produce something so exact. You begin to wonder
about its purpose, that is if there is any at all.

A Circle of Dandelions
Dandelions grow on the forest floor, formed in a flawless circle. These
flowers are brighter than any form of dandelion you have ever seen. Their
stems bend ever so slightly in the breeze that passes through them. Birds
chirp high up above and you can see a small squirrel nibbling on a nut by
a tree.

A Small Stream
A small stream runs through here, in between the trees. Placidly it drips
and falls over rocks. The stream is crystal clear, and you can't resist
taking just a small drink from its cool and refreshing waters. It heads in
a west to east direction. Trees hide the source of the stream
which prevent entry further into the forest, while to the east the stream
heads over a small ledge and falls to the earth below.

handle going over, but it is a bit different from the rest of the smooth
and level path that you have been travelling on.

A Springtime Paradise
Here the stream empties into a small pond. The water is clear and blue, and
reflects a soft radiance off its surface. Birds sing in harmony from a
nearby spruce and bees hum as they visit flower after flower. Butterflies
drift on the breeze, occasionally landing on a flower for a moments rest.
You believe you could be eternally happy if you stayed in this spot
forever.
