Title: Laws and yells Post by: Quino on April 04, 2006, 10:02:54 pm Laws can be tricked due to situation when you cast area damaging spell and someone is not in your PK range:
[log] You chant a sweet melodious line. You send forth a ball of fire. ... yells, 'Die, ... you sorcerous dog!' [/log] ...and no message 'Gods protect you from ...' Title: Re: Laws and yells Post by: Proph on April 04, 2006, 11:46:29 pm Yes, I have often wondered that myself.
And what if someone just copies/pastes a yell and you don't even attack them but are in the same room? I hope there is a system designed to prevent that (or else I just gave a lot of people some really bad ideas :P) Title: Re: Laws and yells Post by: Lurker on April 05, 2006, 12:00:32 am Guardians see yelling as in [yell Die someone you sorcerous dog!] and yelling due to an attack differently.
Now, witnesses can't but that's a different story. Title: Re: Laws and yells Post by: Matthew on April 05, 2006, 02:25:43 am Ive always been annoyed by the fact that, if someone attacks me i yell. Great thats all good. But while we are engaged and fighting if i make an active attack like swing, he yells. He attacked me why is he calling for help?
One thing i thought would be cool is if the attacker(villan) would yell villanish things during combat. Eg: He attacks you or tries to loot from you right. You bash him or something and he 'yells' while laughing something like 'Haha! Your measly skills cannot help you now Thulga! Not the best example but you can get the drift. Its cool rp and also everyone can clearly see who the instigator is, which is even better rp! Title: Re: Laws and yells Post by: Quino on April 06, 2006, 08:49:09 am Hmm, I like this idea, yet fighting a group will cause too much spam. Then it's better to make an option like deaf mode not to hear this taunts.
