Title: Re: New druid skill Post by: deda on April 07, 2006, 12:29:59 am Can they move in treeform? This one's supposed to something like forest hide or something...
Title: Re: New druid skill Post by: Matthew on April 09, 2006, 03:45:02 pm Your not asking for a skill similar to camo, your asking for hide and sneak in forests. Or in rangers case camo/creep which is 2 skills. Give them camo sure! But you still cant move without creep unless you are sneaky and plan to camo every room.
Title: Re: New druid skill Post by: deda on April 09, 2006, 10:48:14 pm Nod Matthew. In case a druid gets summoned or attacked in forest he should be able to flee and hide himself in the trees... And treeform is level 20+
Title: Re: New druid skill Post by: Matthew on April 10, 2006, 01:24:07 am If you were an elf you'd have forest blending. I see so many people making minotaur druids, i guess for the hps and strength, its certainly not for casting powers. I suppose if your an elf you've no worries, if not then maybe you shoulda picked elf! Giving every class thier own 'hide in the forest' skill reduces the usefulness of forest blending/quiet movement which i felt when i started playing here as a defining element of elves. All this on top of creep being at level 23? So your still only going to get camo with no moving until then. I dont think druids need camo.
Title: Re: New druid skill Post by: deda on April 10, 2006, 03:16:58 am Ok... First, forest blending is not working at all... I have seen so many elves blending that you would not believe 2. This new skill should be similar to the one assassins and thieves have in cities...
Title: Re: New druid skill Post by: Lizzy on April 10, 2006, 03:24:09 am I agree - forest blending doesn't seem to work. But when you are an elf, you don't know until you discover someone looks at you. Yet, you step out of forest blending. There is no sure way of checking if you are totally blended. Really wierd.
I think the point for druids is missing with this post subject and the one about the herbs. Druids are treehuggers - forest dwellers - one with the earth and trees and animals. Yet, there skills do not follow entirely along those nature lines. Herbalists they are - tree folk - yet, cannot find herbs for all reasons and seasons, and cannot move freely through the forests without revealing their positions. *shrugs* IMHO Title: Re: New druid skill Post by: Niano on April 10, 2006, 06:36:57 pm The druid cannot move throughout the forest, because he is not a hunter. He/she can use their powers of nature to blend and become one with their surroundings by using treeform, against which their is no way to be spotted. As for detect invis? Shrug, someone made the comment invis is a purely magical spell, and that makes sense to me. A detect invis spell hardly seems to be nature based. There are plenty of herbs or potions around if druid wants to see invis bad enough. And yes, forest blending needs major renovating.
