[/log] Yes i know pk is apart of the game but come on ppl lets at least try to Rp it. Id love to be able to at least try and defend myself when i have to but it seems the only ones that like to pk me want to do so when they can do so easily like here where im fighting a mob and cant hit anything but it. *Shrugs* Okay now ive vented. And much better now for it. *Goes upon her dark way to try once more play* Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Proph on April 29, 2006, 01:33:23 am Whoa! That's a side I've never seen of Grimm. Usually he flees like a frightened rodent when someone tries to PK him, now he's actively pursuing people while they grow. Neither are very knight-like... seems he needs to find a happy medium.
Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Matthew on April 29, 2006, 02:40:11 am I am more concerned by the fact his weapons do not even touch you. But i have to say theres RP here, he is a knight, he see's a pure soul under assult and comes to its aid. He didnt sneak into the room and put a knife in your back. If he had rescued the mermaid id have to say it was awsome rp. Think maybe your a just sore you didnt see him comming? Or maybe you did and thought you were safe? By the way, why do you only have 731hps at 31+?
Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Quino on April 29, 2006, 02:43:19 am I want to refer to Grissom here.
I used to grow up at mermaids, Grissom appeared, he offered me to eather leave this place or duel with him - that I call knightish behaviour! Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: arpade on April 29, 2006, 03:11:13 am I alweys find atacking someone without a word, to the least, odd. I only give deathknights and liches that right and consider it "RP". Good isint just a enemy to evil. they kill eachother, two teams. goods have to act like someone good, try to avoid death(ALL DEATHS-includes enem,to me, the most saint :P would be the healer/cleric that instead of trying to kill a enemie, tries to convert him), give a warning, etc.
I take you get the point. Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Matthew on April 29, 2006, 03:27:51 am Yeah he should a said something or, rescuing the mermaid makes it pretty clear his intentions.
Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Shylin on April 29, 2006, 03:46:01 am Actually no i wasnt sore, frustrated that this is about the 3rd time this has happened with her by that char since i started her with the same lack of Rp nor did i think i was safe to think yourself safe in game is both naive and rather uninformed and why i have just that many hp doesnt seem to be relevent. I really dont know why his weapons didnt hit other than the fact most of what he did from what i can tell is use his knightly powers. My only problem was the fact that there was nothing said or at least waited until i was done then speak and attack me. That in itself really would not have been too much to ask for. *shrugs yet again* its done with and if and when it more than likely happens again, i have a good idea what I will need to do.
Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Matthew on April 29, 2006, 07:07:45 am A knight should never 'wait' until you are done!
I asked those things out of curiosity i know they have no relavence Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Klash on April 29, 2006, 05:44:43 pm A knight should never wait? How does the knight know that the fight wasn't started by the other/mob?So we are to go and see o theres a Dark elf lets kill them all?
Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Matthew on April 29, 2006, 05:56:41 pm It doesnt matter who started a fight, only that there is someone to defend against darkness.
Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Klash on April 29, 2006, 06:06:02 pm So o look theres Drizzt go kill him?I guess my rp isnt the same!
Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Matthew on April 29, 2006, 06:10:49 pm For starters Dark elves are not Drow, there are no Drow in dragonlance.
And yes, a quote from Kiri - Quote Before you chose race and class, I suggest you read helps. Dark elves must be evil, and knights must fight them. There may be exceptions, but noone guaranties you will become one. And if you are not an exception, you should act according to our roleplaying rules. Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Morcul on April 29, 2006, 07:08:08 pm Maybe Narin can teach Grimm about fighting evil, instead of Knight hunting a less skilled less equipped one
Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Matthew on April 29, 2006, 07:39:40 pm Anyway, im not defending Grimms actions here but you guys need to stop making all these assumptions.
Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Nierth on April 29, 2006, 10:30:02 pm I think knights do not seek death of Dark ones, and they should not to.. Death for them (light one or dark) is not what they live for. And personally Grimm, who always sits in a guild when danger is around, desided to show his power to newbie person or just weaker one. Do not blame Dark assassin, he didnt think he was in safe, but Knights always, always should have a reason for fights, not just - 'he follows dark path'... especially in such bad case when assassin was fighting with mob, bad way for a knight.
This is not an example how knights should act.. Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Matthew on April 30, 2006, 09:25:44 am Theres a dark elf killing a mermaid so Grimm attacks the dark elf and you think this is unknightly behaviour?
It is so knightly behaviour, nobody is saying it wouldnt have been even more knightly had he actually rescued the mermaid or said something, but you cannot say it is not knightly. Nobody 'blames' anyone for Shylins death, i asked questions so that i could grant advice based on the answers. Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: schelkunchik on April 30, 2006, 09:55:47 am also, 3 evil ones level in pax, 3 good ones come and attack.
nothing special, it happens always. Magical words 'where', 'flee', 'quaff return' should prevent the discussion we have here. Title: Re: Not an example of Rp or an Amazing Fight Post by: Lizzy on April 30, 2006, 10:53:06 am also, 3 evil ones level in pax, 3 good ones come and attack. nothing special, it happens always. Magical words 'where', 'flee', 'quaff return' should prevent the discussion we have here. The discussion is RP and Shylin was just making an observation of something that is missing within Solace most times - Roleplay - so - where flee quaff return quit Pity that didn't put an end to other conversations posted :P |
