Sorry, I don't want to sound like I don't like the idea, I think it's great. Just haven't found one that's useful, after checking about 200 it seems.

Maybe you will find better things if you kill harder things, don't show ignorance of immortals hard work unless you tested it so much

I've found it very useful at low ranks to train and up my skills with. I think they have potential to be really powerful at higher ranks.

I found one with some really nice/unusual stats that's useful at rank 30+. They're out there, but man they aint common.

I have found items that are like +10% spell based lightning damage. Im expecting to see some mage running around soon doing unspeakables with sheet lightning.

Yes, but if hannar finds several items with 10% resist lightning ,  lightning sheet will become  lightning shiit

And if you wear 6 items with high resist against lightning, just think how worthless you will be when someone attacks with something else  :-*

I'm not one of those people that has an entire eq set based on fighting one specific class, are you?

No, it would be to boring.
Though interesting idea, to keep sets in knapsack that make you immune to fire, ice and lightning, and to wear when you fightining specific mob...
That makes resist of clerics less important, but whatever
