Title: invis/camo vs plague/poison/DOT
Post by: noober on May 05, 2006, 10:40:53 pm
It doesn't seem poison, plague or any other spells where you are damaged over a length of time should remove a player from invisibility, camouflage, or hide.  Perhaps the initial casting of the spell when one is targetted should remove invisibility type effects, but the recurring damaging effects of the spell should not.

When are you being hit with recurring effects of poison after the fight is over you are no longer fighting and therefore should be able to return to the shadows.

In fact thats not poison makes you to step out of shadows but damage you suffer (though when you are poisoned/plagued and sleeping you get no damage but still step from shadows)

If you are poisoned, and groan when your stomach inverts itself and then you want to vomit, I think someone standing nearby would notice you.

Similarly, if you're diseased, people will notice the smell.

If you don't take a bath you smell too.  But that's smell, not sight, eh?  I kind of agree that it shouldn't take you out of invisibility/hidden every time, seems weird.
