Title: Underwater areas
Post by: Moon_Face on July 06, 2007, 02:57:02 pm
I do think it is not right to have in Krynn areas, special for transmuters.
If somebody wants to walk under water, it is his own business. Without air bubble around nose a man will sufficate. And thats all.
So i do not see a reason to block a way for everyone under water.

And it will be interesting to see rooms filled with poison clouds, sharp grass, hot lava etc...

Underwater areas always kind of rubbed me the wrong way. How do you fight underwater (swing a sword etc?). Weird

A question that came from an abjurer...
What else is weird is : how do you slow and soften somebody, how do you make magic missiles, how do you shape to jackal, how do you make yourself transluicent, how do you paralize somebody with hand movement and some words... and so on.
But those questions were never weird, of course... Its simply too much logic and physics for one fantasy mud

Thank you for pointing out that this mud is fantasy Inkognito, I mistakenly thought it was an accurate portrayal of real life.

For the record: Just because its a fantasy mud, doesn't mean logic and physics don't come into play at all. A lot of changes in this mud have been done to enforce RP and increase realism in travels.

The fact that it comes from an abjurer just shows that I care more about RP and realism than my own needs, since only abjurers can open the way to such places...

I have not really look but perhaps there is a waterbreath potion or something around somewhere.
