Title: Dirt Kicking
Post by: Moon_Face on July 08, 2007, 03:48:13 pm
I do not know what code describes it's work but i'm sure that amount of hit roll should affect it.
More hit roll more precise dirt kick.

Is it so now?

Also I'd like to see if (You could not find any dirt to kick.) check to depend on dexterity, not on intelligence; what sounds much more logical to me.

Well, I tried with something like that but it seems that the word LOGIC does not apply to the common sense of all those whiners whose constant complaints resulted in the present dirt kick paradox(es)...
They were complaining how powerful it was due to tick changes and no one complained about  blindness, wrath, sunray etc, which now became even more powerful...
You try to dirt kick indoors (i.e Mausoleum) and you keep failing although I've never seen anyone with a broomstick there!
Also, in the rooms with certain inners you can't dirt kick for you life and in some rooms  you can dirt kick your brains out...
I think that changes are needed not only with dirt kick depending on certain attribute/hr but also  with the rooms where you can/can't use the dirt kick skill...
Half of the mud is indoors and in some of the areas dirt kick is vital for survival. If all this is not likely to happen then, PLEASE, I would like to see some mobiles with broomsticks in the Edges, Nether, and other difficult-to-dirt areas.

True its become a waste of time trying, spending 20 or more rounds trying to dirt kick is no good compared to using a damage skill instead.

Dirt is not dust, you know...I can hardly imagine evough dust to kick indoors. But dirt kick being based on intelligence seems strange also.

I would rather see it as, if there is no dirt, there is no dirt. And perhaps some mobs adjusted to compensate a little. From the change to dirt kick i can say that to an assassin for instance, blindness dust has become even more invaluable, proven by Zuhan who seems to have trained his up and blinds me all the time whereas mine is at like 78% and is blown away by the wind all the time, of course i have mastered dirt kick but it is no where near as successful as i have experienced blindness dust.
