I think 'earth' means 'land' and 'Earth' is planet. It could be wrong though.

yes Earth is "our" planet...Krynn is there's. It's the planet Krynn Continent Ansalon in which our graceful mud takes place. Earth has nothing to do with it what soever.

Where is Krynn? Next to mars? The moon? I think that's the question too?

Maybe earth is just another word for Krynn? :)

It was a simple question Lord Flirr, and a fair one.

It's different there though, that refers to the ground...so a name for that must be developed.

Ok, try to think of the context its used in. Nothin like that in heaven nor earth. In that statement, its not using earth as in ground, it means nothing like that in heaven nor this planet, and its using the name earth for this planet. I agree, logically it should say, Nothing like that in heaven nor Krynn. Just my two cents.

*eyeroll*

If you want to get all technical on it, has anyone actually ever heard a reference to "heaven" in Dragonlance? My understanding is the Abyss is something like hell, for those who committed too many crimes in life, or perhaps who wish to stay temporarily or permanently (reference: Huma has a place in the abyss, according to Tanis, the Shadow Years), and for anyone else, they either roam freely or pass to the next stage of existence in their spiritual journey.  No heaven, as far as I know.  So, if it's really so irritating that you need to complain, why not make it something like

Nothing like that from the deepest sea to the tallest peak.

or something similar? Personally, I don't mind it as it is.  A spell wouldn't talk to you anyways when you cast, this is just communicating the knowledge gained from it :)

Actually, there are references to heaven being mentioned, in the sense that someone looks to the heavens for insight, or some such whatnot in the hoo ha.

In that case, the heavens means the sky.  You commented that in this case the "earth" is not referring to the ground, but to the planet.  So, heaven isn't referring to the sky, but to heaven.  Also, note that it's "in heaven", not "in the heavens".  So, if one has to be changed, the other should be too, or change neither ::)
