Though there is nothing wrong with the question from a russian's point of view, Ezus, really it is against forum rules i think.
And guessing what your next thought will be - no, posting strange ideas and questions is not against forum rules.  ;D

- You are way out of line, there should be no racism allowed period.  I doubt you should even speak "we russians" ezus since I doubt you speak for all from that nation...And I doubt they would wish to even  claim you.  But we have ignorant backwards man-boys here too in US, Im just not one of them and at some point they grow up.  Im not african american either or a russian nazi.  And I doubt you would speak with such racism in front of black people in the U.S. , people like you are a dime a dozen in any country, as usual a fake tough guy with a keyboard.

Sorry Kage, but most of, or actually all russians that i know would make little of Ezus's remark and actually make such remarks from time to time themselves. It's like it's sort of wrong, but then not very. Noone makes a fuss about negros (which actually is the word in russian for all blacks), because it does not mean a slave or whatever for us. And words like nigger, sh*t, f*ck and the rest are just piculiar english words. Also the whole political correctness and tolerance issues are just not applicable to us as we have always been society where racism has been on a domestic basis, but never something resulting in actual dimince of some race. Maybe there's been a couple of riots against the jews in our history (can't remember when) but nothing else comes to mind. Yes, people do get killed because of skin color from time to time (hate crime that's the american term i think), but this is done by idiots and compared to how many people are just killed for other reasons it is nothing. So in russia you are not really a racist if you do not like negros or whomever, you're a racist if you kill people for it. At least that's the way i see it.

Although maybe Ezus is a skin head and walks around smashing people, but i seriously doubt that  :).

PS Sorry for getting into this offtop, its just that i visit the states often and to a russian all that "don't say the N word" crap looks ridiculus.

Sorry Rialon but what you said is pure cr*p... I'm not russian, but I very well know the definition of prejudice, or racism (a term that is not very well accepted now-a-days).
If you define someones personality based on her skin color, that is prejudice. So in Russia, by what you just said, there is racism all around, only no one does anything about it.
To call someone black or something like that, I personally don't think is a racist act, but if you go on asking if people are "niggaz" because you disagree with their point of view, then yes, you are one racist f*ck*r. It clearly shows what you think of the whole for a simple characteristic that isn't related with the way each one of them think, act or express themselves.
(By "you" I mean the racist, in this case, Ezus)  ;)

PS: The definition of racism or prejudice doesn't change from one country to the other. It is the same. The ideas behind it are the same.

Heh, statistics, Argonar, statistics. There are different features of different races - we are all different actually. Black people are usually better physically developed, then white, and usually with less intellect then white. USUALLY does not mean all, but gives reason for conclusions. What you are saying basically is if you see someone with a down syndrome you should not conclude on his intellect. People do not all have to like each other and are free to make their own judgement about others. From your point of view, it is racism, from another's point of view it is not. That's just it.

I really liked that movie i saw, Clash or Crash, american movie. Where two negros are walking in a decent district and a man and a woman give them a cautious glance. So they black guys start going on about prejudice and all that and then pull out their guns and rob the couple. Or when a white cop acted as a jerk to a black man's wife or girlfriend and his partner turned away from him and then he saved the very woman from a burning car. Damn, i did not think they would make such a film in US, but was pleasantly surprized.

The definition may not change, but the way you treat a certain situation differs, so you may not apply that definition.

-  The word negro is not the issue it also means black in other languages its the racist version, he did not ask if he was a negro and he wasnt saying it innocently..it is intention that makes someone racist, he meant it to be offensive..and it wasnt said in some russian side street.  This is a public internet forum and some courtousy would be nice.  Just because ,rialon, you say this wouldnt bother your friends either doesnt tell me its ok..it tells me about your friends.  Russia is full of jewish people not just a couple either...no one should throw out jewish slurs either, though you probably wouldnt care about that either.

p.s. you totally missed the point of that movie crash by the way.  perhaps it was over your head.  As for biologically...there are biological differences from race to race.  Lower intelligience is not one of them...your infering a socio-economic tendency to correlate with a number of ,I assume some easy to find, literacy statistic.  Judge away..this is certainly happening as people read your posts..just keep it to your self along with your propaganda and elementary level biology guesses.  Thats like some uneducated american thinking you all still wait in line for toilet paper.

In my gamer career I had moderated a couple of forums and never succeeded.

I agree with Ezus on that the Americans had no right to bomb Yugoslavia (Serbia + MonteNEGRO!!!) ;D, but were it not for them - we would still be wallowing in Sloba's scheize! Then again, did Sloba had the right to torch Albanian villages?
Rialon's arguments that black people are better physically developed but with lower IQ - it's something that was the basis for all the Nazi parties in the world, and the 20th century American policy towards the coloured people. Here in Serbia we don't say " you bloody nigga", we say " you stinking Gypsy". Serbs boast themselves as not being prejudiced and rasists, but they are, in fact. I am prejudiced as well. Mostly I am prejudiced against countries: I hate Serbia(not Serbs) because it allows only morons to lead it, America(not Americans) because, on their campaign against the terror they terrorize the world, Russia (not Russians) because they allowed mobsters (not gopaniks! ;D, when comparing gopaniks to administration and KGB mafia, the gopaniks appear decent, hard-working people) to go around the world shaking hands and patting on the back the American presidential morons...

I have to say however, ezus makes a very good point.

We have to remember, the term "nigger" "negro" was not always a "racist insult"
The major conflict was that it was used in the derogitory sense to the extent that
it became high insulting because Americans primarily used it to place themselves
above and better then black cultures.

And it was only after people getting slapped on the wrist and entire movements
that amercans even started calling them "African Americans". Although it is socially
acceptable to just call them black now.

I will have to take ezus word on it, but from the idea he expressed, (and we have to
remember country was not founded on the backs of slaves) as america was. That
it is in ALL POSSIBILITIES an acceptable term where it is no derogitory.

Now if it was an insult in THEIR HOME COUNTRY. Then by all means smarten up and
dont be a racist f*ck. HOWEVER, if it is a term just to refer to that paticular race/culture.
Then it is no different then you calling them African-American/black or calling "indians"
natives.

In saying such, if it a an acceptable term, it is in absolutely no way appropriate to be
forcing ezus or any russians to behave as americans in their accepted speech. (Which
they only started doing after! *GASP* We know what.

In that sense it is just forcing american ideals onto foreign countries, and well, lets look
at the past at that.

You know whats even worse, technically a war is going on, and no one gives a f*ck. Not
to mention it is highly non-media publicized now that support for it has dwindled.


And since i am into the whole racism topic. I was recently in southern US. The vast majority
of southern Americans treat mexicans like dogs and sh*t. Seriously. The use of "mexican"
is used in such a derogitory way. I was truly appalled at what was being said.

Now i would never ever undermize the hardships of the slaves that built america. But god damn
the south went the route of just substituting a more convient and closer country to do their dirty
work after they had to "stop slave trade".
