Title: shopkeepers
Post by: Raider on April 02, 2008, 10:25:14 am
Right now, if someone sells stuff to shop, it disappears in some short time(stock resets). Why?
Let it stay, so other people can buy this stuff.

- their very busy lately it seems.  What if someone sells limited equipment in far off city...its almost like extra pockets.

Agree with Raider i do.

Just because immortals don't have time to watch over there own
creation(MUD), doesn't mean things should not be as they should be.

Khein... don't take it personal... but your previous words are desipicable.  :-\
You should have more consideration for our beloved immortals and appreciate their continuous efforts towards their creation... which is ours to enjoy.

Reference to Harry Potter:
"How many are there?"
"36, counted them myself."
"But last year I had 37! I want more, more more!!!! I'm selfish and don't recognize what others do for me! You don't care for your precious creation! Whaawhaa"

Dear lord... someone call a whambulance...

- as it should be? give one example why it should be? it should be like leaving something on the ground...repops after some time so someone seeking it on the mob it belongs to can get it for a fight..not for some crappy gold.

gold isn't crappy! it is power! you can buy nice potions, wands and scrolls for ya gold, if you know where ;)

- go buy that stuff...instead of this idea...this idea is like laundering money.  Using a shop to transfer items.

you sell it for like half of buyout price.

No, idea was to share stuff i dont need with players who cant kill mobs, but have gold.

I liked Raider's idea... but Kage is right... it is abusable...
I mean, it will be possible to simply transfer items from one char to another easily this way (I'm not saying this is your idea Raider, just saying someone could think it up).

technically, transfer through shop is just the same as
"drop item, relog, get item", which gets logged and imms get notifications.

so, it changes nothing.

Well... yeah.... I guess your right... but then what if the guy sells an item to a far away store where no one ever goes... and after a week he goes there with his other char and buys it?

what if a guy goes far away and drops item, and get its a week later?

LIMIT TRANFER***, An immortal slays you for cheating!

time delay does not matter in this case.

Yes, yes, items should stay in shop until sold or world reboots, that is how it should be.

same host for obj - both hoster and victim. whats the point anyway of this restrict?
if one would like to transfer, he will.

if i'd like to transfer one item to other <-- i'd simply sacrificed it and repop mob *shrug*
