I think that it would benefit the famous guardian RP, and the whole RP as well, if they should stay visible at all times while on duty - patrolling the cities, that is. They are guardians of the law, not some sneaky criminals (like the rest of us) so no need for them to be hidden from the citizens' sight. You cannot enforce laws with an invisible police.

Well, when you drive a car, policemen always hide behind tress or bushes with their devices to detect your speed.
If they patrol city - they should be visible.  But when they hunt?

i patroll astral plans- it s my additional task.

if someone will break laws in protected area in astral plans? so sometimes i am invible because of patrolling.

people, i see you hate guardians because some of you lose to us in fight or such.

i agree with Daekrist - we need only two clans - Takhisis and Solamnia - and it will be real fun. eternal fights.

But now we have 6 clans - live with it, try to survive, get fun, get things...

I do not hate guardians, but it is damn stupid to flag people just to slay them and loot. I remember i was flagged when i tryed to stop bloodthirsty guardian and explain (i did not fight him), then the criminal was pardoned. And after that that ex-criminal uses ooc speach in say. She is flagged again ... and me. I did not get it why they flagged me. I had to die to remove flag. Thank to OOC relation with another guardian i was "punished" and took all my stuff back. Since then i do not like guardians.
And one more thing. I am kind law enforcer in RL, so i do not want to deal with law in game :)

No need to change guardians.
Perhaps just move their keep some. For more 'unprotected' rooms before the sentinel.
Also perhaps change a bit their empowers. Not crucially. All same but cape of guardians for example, not shield.
Something from clothes, not from armors/weapons

- decent ideas...shield limits applications, to as we can see mostly 'muters and seasons.  Still say shrine

remove guardians may solamnia do their work, remove cobar for a balance of clans, it's simple.

The way i see it, Solamnia can't do what its suppose to, Heretics have an enemy they shouldn't because mages can join the Guardians, and players obviously can't be trusted with criminal power. On the other hand if Guardians are removed there are 0 clans for good align elves and dwarves. There should be a dwarf clan in Thorbadin, and an elf clan in Quali.. Then all is win! Maybe some of the racial politics that makes dragonlance dragonlance?

but there are many clans for neutral elves and dwarves... Btw, Solamnia should accept dwarves since Kharras was nearly part of it... And respected more than many true Solamnics.

Sorry, to clarify. Good elves and dwarves which are not mages. Not that a good dwarf can be a mage...
