Title: The assassins at alias Post by: arre on November 05, 2010, 12:18:31 am andy's char has good gear, he knows krynn, despite his modest knowledge of assassins, but ooc gang background and lesser trollish manners produce unpleasant impression.
Title: The assassins at alias Post by: Hansen on November 05, 2010, 01:08:23 am As an unclanned mino outcast i was hunted by 3 solomnics for the chromatic armor and the slave title I had. I have learned that grouping to kill foes jay a single target or many is just how solace works. It does decrease play value to be ganked from time to time, but it is a part of solace. With enough rp kenders can join clans and draconians can enter the healing shrine. Those are rare cases, I know. I think it's wrong to chastise Andy for it. I tried to stay out of the topics, but the fact it sucks to doe that way is not enough of a reason to send someone to the RoD IMHO.

I will not like if i'm evil and chaotic suddenly will be summoned to RoD for fighting 3 vs 1 with the words do not do it, read rules and so on. If it is ooc, really it is bad, but if it organized randomly, why not? Mauric wants to make guild of assassins! I was very surprised when he followed GODS new rule to not unite. How he will going to organize his guild he wanted so much? Such interpretation of not existing rules makes this game authoritative. Authoritative is opposite of Popularity at the end of all. Will it be not better if god just unite to this one poor victim and will help him to handle with three bastards? God may present some new skills to loner and so on!!! Title: The assassins at alias Post by: bluesky on November 05, 2010, 10:33:22 pm I agree with biopower... history of solace proved that gangbang was never forbidden. It was usual thing you are knight and you walk in emerald forest and three tower necros show from nowhere kill you in round, sacrifice your sword from arkham guardian and leave skeleton :)
Of course there is protection for cases like this... 1. Those who attack Mukrimin are becoming enemies of Solamnia and will be hunted from all Solamnics (and they are plenty now) in any time... punishment enough... if they want war with Solamnia and eternal death, let them... 2. If three man are attacking clan, you don't have to defend (though it's highly cowardly :) Title: The assassins at alias Post by: arre on November 05, 2010, 11:59:00 pm in history of solace it was never forbidden to delete and deny people for nothing for gods as well 8) And these four just got warning - fantastic mercy of imms !!!

Hannya was ganged on lvl 27 by three Hero-ranked Tower magi. . . . But he had it coming! ROFL ´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´ Anyhow, I disagree with Biopower and Bluesky, in one way or another. To "form a guild of assassins" doesn't mean you group with assassin's all the time to go ganging people. It could! But I think there are many much more interesting ways to do it. Besides, if a assassin was hired to kill someone, he would much prefer to do it alone, because that way he would keep the entire pay for himself. Anyone ever watched or read something about 'bounty hunters'? I highly recommend "Cowboy Bebop" You could also make a "guild of assassins" reunite every new moon at the Inn of blabla to tell eachother other their greatest kills. The best storyteller takes the loot!! And if that was going to happen, lonely and silent killing makes much more sense. Ganging isn't against rules, but it makes the game much poorer. And I continue thinking that the game would be much better if gears didn't influence so much the difference of strength between characters. From this point of view... It surely would. PS: Hiddukel's coin only has one side. Title: The assassins at alias Post by: bluesky on November 06, 2010, 01:00:04 am well, if you can be in hero range with only level 27, well... its is not certain what else can happen to you... :)

If you disagree - just close the door from outside. Second. It was not OOC, I have no idea who is playing Phoenlx, Snah and Alkahen. Mauric was never grouped with anybody of them before. Third. We have a result here - -1 player. Damn good result for gankers like you are, but not for me and I am quite sure - for DMs. Four. I never used fullloot/fullsac despite any facts and motivations. Your ooc gank are using it, kill poor assassin (Hanya) 3vs1, and seems to remain safe'n'sound. Amazing. Fifth. Idea of Forbidden Guild was proposed by Phoenlx completely ingame and inchar. I like fresh ideas and those who bring the "refreshing wind on his/her wings". And one more, I am not going to join any clan while ooc ganks are playing there. Every time I observe lowbies with detects entering and leaving realms just before clannies, and could try to guess who is who. It makes me laugh, be happy doing all that crap. Title: The assassins at alias Post by: Biopower on November 07, 2010, 05:58:05 pm Four. I never used fullloot/fullsac despite any facts and motivations. Your ooc gank are using it, kill poor assassin (Hanya) 3vs1, and seems to remain safe'n'sound. Amazing. First. I full looted couple people, whom i killed along. I do not see any crap here. I was greedy in that moment. I wanted their gears, I looted! I want only one thing posting here: safe possibility to do everything to take fun, including fool looting independently whom was killed and how (of course if there is no RP restrictions like solamnics have for example) and including grouping with anybody who is hunting somebody. You may think about me what you want, but I did evil chaotic person to do everything what is not against rules. I'm motherf*cker in such cases? Maybe. But it gives me a lot of fun which is my main purpose being in solace. If community decides: do not unite to kill, do not full loot: just write it please somewhere. It will be a rule! Rule is rule; I follow it without a one word. But now no honor - no restrictions! Second. Whom you connect me with? Just very interesting. Third. I do not have any information about Hunya’s death and problems . Fourth: You took part in group, which killed Solamnic. He deleted and what? Lets forbid now to unite for killing and looting and we lose several more people. If we forbid every thing which hardly affects people with weak nerves everyone will only collect flowers. You do not like to full loot. Nice to hear! Argonar does not like it too, nice to hear. I applaud to you! But I like to full loot sometimes and to join somebody to kill strong victim! So? Title: The assassins at alias Post by: arre on November 07, 2010, 06:59:21 pm Any hand-made system sometimes need intrusion of operator to return to equilibrium. For instance, 3 or more skilled heroes unite ingame, and hunt/fool loot everybody 24 hours per day (according to rules, no spamkill, they hunt/kill everyone once per day), it will be end of solace, unless immortals manually correct situation.
But it is not even the case. Reason of unpleasant talk with gods is much more simple. Many of us, including imms, think the story is ooc marked, and you say it was not. You say it was not ooc interaction, and no immortal intrusion was needed ? Perfect. Then you can place some missing in the log details. Exactly: there should be somebody, who hired Phoenlx against Solamnics and this particular one. There should be some sum per head. Some inc invitation for Snah and Alkahen to join the hunt. Somebody ingame should tell Alkahen to come to HCT. There should be some negotiations of other assassins, why they decided to assist Phoenlx against solamnic. There should be some ingame reasons for mage to come help them, and some their talks about tactics. Some afterkill split of money and honour.. assassins (Mauric, Snah) completed their task, what reward had they got ? Some report for one who payed the kill, accept of the reward. The difference between ooc interaction ("hey, this bastart is tough! log in your assassin, lets kick his ass.. and call Fedya, we may need his help"), and inc schemes is the existance of such background. It makes the game pleasant. I do not insist these details to be opened here on forum. If you have background of this kind in game, immortals should cancel their warning, after checking it in logs, i think. However, for some reason i'm sure you can't provide information, enlisted above. p.s. and last but not the least, nobody likes people, who bite four vs one. You are free to play such kind of character, but should be ready to prove it was in game rules. I allready do the game pleasant for my opponents when explain them in game why i have killed them! I think it is enouth, when i will answer to my victim why have i killed him... I will say to him that was hired by someone and surely i should not pronounce any names!!!! Assassin should not open any names! It is OK Role Play situation! 3d. There is missed only one part in that Log - the part when Phoenlx asked Mauric about slaying of Mukrimin.. But ANY immortal can find it in immortals logs (i started to log only from the moment you see in my log) that this interaction WAS in game! 4th. There is in my log ingame interactions with Snah also! And there is no interaction with Alkahen becouse i did not called him at all. (but i'm sure Snah had ingame interactions with him, becouse as we all see from my Log exactly Snah knew about Alkahen and Mauric with Phoenlx have no idea who was that mage foe or friend.) So Immortals can check all that in logs.. i'm sure there was everething in game enouth to understand that there was no OOC crap!! So i repeat for VERY dumb persons.....There was no OOC interaction in case of Mukrimins death. Arre, i again ask you to stop measuring everyone by yourself... Not all are such morons, who is using IRC, ICQ and other programs for OOC crap! There are still people, who is trying to bring Role play atmosphere in Solace! And stop blaming everyone and everething without good proove!!!! Who decided it should be so? I may wish it myself! Why i should be asked to go to Temple if there are only several evil persons online and one MUKRIMIN? It's obvious what is going on! Why i cant be a loner who lives for self? It is possible to earn money from selling items from corpses of enemies. No reward needed here. Who decided it must be? etc... It seems there are no reasons to trust such men - "lie like breathe" I do not get, whome do you blame in lies... and why ?Biopower has right to play in his style: and if he does not wishes to tell foes killing-reasons as hiring, it is his own business, and he can have his own reasons to kill! The thing about hiring was just my idea to make the game more pleasurabe and RP based for my foes whome i kill as assassin. (And i repeat that it is enouth just to say about hiring and no need to reveal the names!) Title: The assassins at alias Post by: Biopower on November 08, 2010, 11:02:24 am Sure you are. There is only one main thing in this game for real men: killing! Flex brains, spend some time for preparations and leave no chance for your victim. Stay in RP (standart if you are simple player and much stronger for shrines and clanned) and do not break rules. I try to state this thing because last case goes cross with it. 2. ;) Title: The assassins at alias Post by: bluesky on November 08, 2010, 11:52:56 am Sorry for russian. It seems there are no reasons to trust such men - "lie like breathe" grinka, you read my mind. It's obvious that players do not like find themselves in RoD. But it will be always this way. Solace is an authoritarian game. Let me quote the first rule of Solace: Your presence here is a PRIVILEGE, not a right. Obey ANY and ALL orders from the Immortals and you will be fine. Another point is: next log with imm talks posted here in order to start hassles will be followed by a ban. arre, your quote: Quote Exactly: there should be somebody, who hired Phoenlx against Solamnics and this particular one. This was just an idea, it's not true. Argonar's quote: Quote Besides, if a assassin was hired to kill someone, he would much prefer to do it alone, because that way he would keep the entire pay for himself. Yes, I agree, it's true assassin. Besides, we do not have tons of players to let such a guild be active and normal.
