Title: Horsemanship Post by: omledufromage on November 11, 2010, 11:48:14 am It's the skill that would let one mount and dismount during the battle. Isn't working.
Title: Re: Horsemanship Post by: grinka on November 11, 2010, 02:17:29 pm Why do you think it should allow to mount/dismount during battle? I guess there are two skills: horsemastery and horsemanship. One allows you to ride indoors, another - to better dodge/parry/shieldblock being mounted.
Title: Re: Horsemanship Post by: Kage on November 11, 2010, 07:23:20 pm - Perhaps at mastered level it will work... but yes one of the skills of the cobar used to allow to mount and dismount during battle.
- If this has changed.. then that's very dissapointing to an already dismal situation. Title: Re: Horsemanship Post by: grinka on November 11, 2010, 09:29:16 pm Someone saw this skill working such way?
Title: Re: Horsemanship Post by: Kage on November 11, 2010, 10:47:58 pm Someone saw this skill working such way? - Yes, I used to do it and so did argonar a long time ago. Title: Re: Horsemanship Post by: omledufromage on November 12, 2010, 04:34:40 am grinka, I don't mean to be rude, but don't act as if you know everything and I know nothing.
I guess there are two skills: horsemastery and horsemanship. One allows you to ride indoors, another - to better dodge/parry/shieldblock being mounted. That is the problem... you are guessing. I know. It's no guess. First of all, there is a helpfile. I wouldn't report it as a bug if I didn't know what the skill was supposed to do. Aside from that, I already mastered the skill, thinking that maybe it would work once mastered. How did I master it? Attempting to mount while fighting. It increased, yes. Not only did it increase, but most of the times it's percentage grew through the "You got better at..." text, which means I was supposedly successful. The problem is not the skill, the problem is that the horse doesn't let you ride him while he is in battle. Title: Re: Horsemanship Post by: grinka on November 12, 2010, 09:13:46 pm Argonar, i will be absolutely glad if this skill will work this way. Lets wait what will our coders tell.

Keywords: 'Horsemanship' -------------------------- Every Cobar is born with the blessing of Whinan, God of Horses, and no mortal can match them for sheer ability in the saddle. A Cobar can leap upon his mount in the thick of battle and dodge blows even while riding. Even the steeds themselves respond to the slightest movement of the Cobar, enabling them to sense danger that an average rider would miss, placing themselves in harm's way before their rider can be struck. - Okay, this bug will be fixed - Nope, we just will fix helpfiles, because horsemanship should not allow to mount and dismount during battle, because it's too easy way to avoid bash/trip/throw/lash and so on Title: Re: Horsemanship Post by: Kage on November 12, 2010, 11:46:04 pm I already saw it. Until riders are allowed to do certain skills while riding. Until then, the only means is to hop off and then back on without having to flee. - Cobar's only PK oriented ability is this pony trick and it is still not enough. Khalkhist plus skill permits mount and unmount while fighting (should, but is bugged)... I don't think anything is wrong with it. Besides, the skill hasn't changed. I already pointed I increased it's percentage by trying to mount in battle. The problem is that the Khalkhist doesn't let me, because he is in battle. |
