Given that most clerics are underdeveloped and lack access to high-tier empowerment and skills, granting them Shield Mastery might not be a bad idea to improve their survivability and endurance.

I'd be happy with shield bash

That would be too much, imho. Shield bash is offensive, while shield mastery is defensive.

Being the only class with sanc anymore.  Deflecting spells may be better than a offense skill. Like having sanc and spellbane

That was the idea: to make them more durable. :)

I'm all for anything to help clerics . Things have changed unfortunately with smaller players base. Support classes don't have as many people yo support .

What's gone wrong with clerics' survivability? I remember kicking a lich's ass as a solo clanless cleric of Mishakal.

More thinking in killing harder mobs solo.

Overall, I feel most clerics aren’t really complete. Most of the clerics don’t gain any higher empowerment past levels 24~26. Some don't even have any resistances.

The main point here is that clerics struggle to tank effectively when soloing higher-level mobs, and many lack spell protection.

Granting them shield mastery would patch the hole from which they suffer.

Reorx is ok to get stuff solo. The rest is painfully slow

Yeah, I’d say Reorx and Chislev clerics are probably the most well-rounded of the bunch.
