   There are many different aspects to thievery, from common street muggings
   to complicated scams. The skill of item forgery allows a thief to make
   cheap but virtually useless replicas of most items. From this the thief
   can use the fake item to scam unsuspecting victims, either through dodgy
   sales and trades, or simply by stealing the original and replacing with a
   replica. Other uses of the skill are left to the imaginative trickster.

Can someone explain to me how this skill is applicable?

If the use-case was:

• Steal item from the victim
• Create forgery
• Slip forgery back to the victim

If that was the intent of the skill, it falls flat.

You expect someone to spend two hours crafting?

What target is going to hang around that long while you craft forgery?

In my view, it should fire instantly and cost 200 mana to keep it from being abused.
