A shy nymph peeks inquisitively at you from behind a tree before disappearing with a titter. The woodland trails running through this area of the forest seem well-kept, yet untravelled. Title: Re: moonwell Post by: Lord Solinari on November 28, 2005, 04:45:22 pm There's a good chance your trouble with moonwell is based on lack of infravision from the Unicorn. Try holding a torch and ordering them to enter, or have someone cast infravision on them first, etc.
If the pet cannot see the moonwell on their own, they can't enter it. Same as if you tried to order a blind pet to enter something, or if you were blind and tried to enter it yourself (You don't see that here). Title: Re: moonwell Post by: jemma on November 28, 2005, 04:52:37 pm If memory serves me, you order the "horse" (unicorn) to enter moonwell. It's different to gate in that aspect I do believe?
Title: Re: moonwell Post by: Lord Solinari on November 28, 2005, 09:49:16 pm Quite right Jemma. As I said, you can order them to enter first, if you're holding some light and it's a dark area. If it's a light area, or the pet can see in the dark naturally, all is fine.
The reason it differs from gate is that it's a portal that sits there for a few ticks, rather than provides an instant effect. Huge masses of people can enter it if they choose to, not just the cleric who casts it. (Very frightening to see 15 enemies arrive from a moonwell suddenly ;)) Title: Re: moonwell Post by: jemma on November 29, 2005, 01:13:55 am LOL yes. There would be a few puddles and mud pies on the ground, if that many enemies arrived at once through my moonwell. :D
Pity a druid didn't have a confuse spell to cast on it or a disperse spell when finished with the moonwell. For confuse it could work similar to teleport :D Maybe distort rather than confuse. Title: Re: moonwell Post by: eleazar on November 29, 2005, 12:24:05 pm thanks Solinari
