Title: mounted retreating Post by: deda on April 03, 2008, 03:24:43 am You rear in a donkey and flee from combat!
should be on and the verb should be changed to retreat. "rear" means "raise", not "turn your back"... Title: Re: mounted retreating Post by: Matthew on April 04, 2008, 12:23:20 am Nothing wrong with in and flee!
Actually you don't rear the mount, the mount rears itself. Should be 'rein' in. You pull the reins. So like "You rein in your donkey and flee from combat!" Title: Re: mounted retreating Post by: deda on April 04, 2008, 03:52:47 am or that... just as long as "rear" and "in" are no longer in the same sentence... It's gives me some ideas... ;D
Title: Re: mounted retreating Post by: Quino on April 04, 2008, 12:46:07 pm Actually... I thought that verb 'to rear' refers to 'to caracole' in this context.
