Title: Drizz't Do'Urden
Post by: zondra on October 18, 2014, 04:58:39 pm
You must have a fascination with death.
A dark-elf battlemaster seems indifferent towards you.
dark elf battle master should be evil no?

Drizzt isn't evil in the books. Also, he is a drow, not a dark-elf (although I don't know if Salvatore differs one from the other).

In Neverwinter series drows are elves who turned to dark path and retreated underground during the war agains light elves. There they suffer few mutations like skin color and so. So they called dark-elves or drows.

Actually elves of the light, during their raids in caves kill every drow they met, even children. So I'm not sure they are true Light Elves :)

And Drizzt really neutral.. Close to good. But still neutral.

In the books by Salvatore (the guy who created the character), Drizzt is clearly good. The point of the character is that he is a true and virtuous hero coming from a race that is essentially evil, thus is always unappreciated in his heroics and suffers much racism.

Wikipidia agrees with me (Chaotic Good btw, Kage):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drizzt_Do'Urden

Not that any of it should influence the ethos/alignment of some mob in the mud.

Wasn't he in love with a Human? or something and was worried about having kids?

Kinda. He had feelings for Cattie-Brie (or whatever it is spelled ), but to me it was never perfectly clear in the books if his love for her was love and admiration for a friend or something more. I do not really remember anything about him wondering about having kids, but the wikipedia says so, so i guess.
