As much as I know, wakizashis are short samurai swords, and it's a shield... When it lies on the ground it has a description of a sword, not shield...

Well the idea was that someone with excellent reflexes would use the wakizashi in a shield-like manner. (as was stated in the item's extra description).

Anyways, to remove any confusion in the future, this will now appear as a buckler.
Also improved armor class from it a bit.... but not much.
