I looked at affects after second one - Cleave skill is active for 5 hours

He can still use cleave for damaging, but no instant kill while the affect hangs.

Cleave was changed to damager. You can only start combat with it, damage is higher, chances for instakill are lowered greatly, affect and low health protect you from instakill completely.
