I have fought in the towers a lot, but I only now realized something that is a little bit fishy.

The undead elven cardinal traces an arcane rune and starts chanting, 'Maele alasse barthal wiakhs.'
The undead elven cardinal is filled with strong restorative energy, as its wounds mend.
The undead elven cardinal dodges your claw.
The undead elven cardinal parries your claw.
Thorgrim's cruel thorns rip into the undead elven cardinal.
Thorgrim's thorn barrier injures the undead elven cardinal.
The undead elven cardinal's crush maims Thorgrim!
The undead elven cardinal's crush DISMEMBERS you!
The undead elven cardinal is gushing blood.

Shouldn't healing energy DAMAGE the undead?

strong restorative energy...

I would say, maybe this doesn't mean clerical healing ay?  Just the magic that made it undead possibly.

when we were fighting him, I said to Thorgrim: "good thing he is undead, so we won't have to worry about him healing himself"

then I spit in utter disgust  Sad

I thought these were all strange too, they are suppose to be undead but they are not. Turn undead does not affect them. Neither do the weapons that 'slay' undead.

Then healing should be replaced with 'harm' spells which damage gooddies and heal undeads

They have harm and others, they are not undead. No black aura etc, they're just regular priests names undead.

strong restorative energy...

Yes MacFie, and a that strong restorative energy is the exact same thing that the High Priestess of Mishakal uses. Maybe the undead elven cardinal actually should be made undead? I just know there is some inconsistency here, either with mob attributes or spell.

Or maybe not bother at all seeing as Myth Drannor does not belong in Krynn.

And what about those spectral guardians in HTS...? My poor beastie 35+20 could not even touch them... They are like hasted with dex 50... Too much? And they have such nice spells... Mmmmm... Missing rot, though... Besides that, they have it all Tongue

Those spectural guardians are actually undead though. The 'undead' in myth drannors towers aren't.

Yes, this isn't a MOB_OVERPOWER whining session. Try to stay on topic.
