Nice battle, just to mention - beast assassins has nice resists to fire (endure + dragon blood) so I'd suggested using another damaging spell. Besides all kender assassins are good so using protect good instead of evil will suit you better.

about fire: i noticed. but up to 3 chain with ability to cast each round and predictable amount of damage (comparing to lightnings: from maul to ***DEMOLISH***) but you'r right: i'll try another spells
mind stuck in 3-5 usable spells in PK ...
(for example: heat metal - waste of time, in most cases. windwall - quite easy blind low level mobs, but failed to blind single heretic ...)
