It would be unfair if I did not say that in the continuation I also was forced to
flee many times, and that damn poison coming from his ring didn't let me rest
nicely like he could. My major problems were when my mana began to end... cause then
I could only run, and it took me a while before I began using herbal potions to heal
poison. Still was a nice battle, both sides fleeing and hunting a lot.

you have really great health, much more then mine from clanpower, if i d use stalion as clanpower (your health) it could be different

and i have better armor, which helped me a lot...

so i think normal abjurer vs normal alterator kinda balanced, if abjurer not fight untill paralize

- nice first log.  I like when slow got dispelled  Thats a rough fight both are hearty classes...but at least more exciting then kazo and valgariks duels which with certain gear felt like could go forever. 

what's the point of poly against an abjurer?

- right, he can just 'revert' ... but even one round with a lion against a lizard could be brutal if abjurer is in skill lag.

p.s. if abjurer is a kender..think thrust makes this fight much different different?

I didn't use it in that part of the duel. I only used protection from good after you made me flee for the first time.

To deda: I've heard that abjurers cannot revert from polymorph, only alterers. I for one know that druids cannot, since I polymorphed Gwyrnieth (??) once in a duel and he stayed running in a weak form for some time. 
Still... if I were lucky and got him in snail form, even for one turn... it would be lotsl of damage on him.

Gejlord hasn't worn the chromatic set in about 5 years. He knows crap. The fact that druids cannot revert from poly means only it's a bug, since they are a class with forms and have the revert command. Yeah thrust, with autocasting staves means more sunrays per round. Damage? depends on the vulnerabilities of the opponent. But! kender abjurers are not about thrust/whirl, paralyse and other boring stuff... It's taunt skill that makes them exceptional.

I disagree with you deda. If a druid or abjurer cannot revert, it doesn't mean it is a bug, it could mean that they simply do not have the understanding in shapeshifting to revert the spell of a alterer, the master shapeshifter. Another question you should ask yourself, is a alterer that has not aquired shapeshift skill able to revert when someone else forces him into a form. One thing is when you cast a spell onto yourself, and you have control over that spell, another is when someone else casts it upon you. And when you have the shapeshift skill, it doesn't mean you can control others spells, it means you have total control over your body and you are able to manipulate your form naturally, without an effort abjurers or druids would have to use. I think it makes sense that abjurers and druids should not be able to revert from a forced polymorph.
