'order all wait'...
pets will not follow you into the next room, but if you come back, they will be ready to follow you.

It can be done with 'order all rest', but when you get back and you want them to stand, you have to give one command more 'order all wake'.

perhaps also there can be some sort of command to lag your animals so they follow you one round after you order them to wait Smiley help with PK
