But seriously, i can reraid and protect against one or two almost the same in basic gear as in good gear. At least that works for a priest of Roeorx. And when the forces are really overwhelming gear matters only if it is uber shiny one imho.
Also, i agree about total domination, but at this moment total domination is achieved through numbers, meaning curent active members in a clan. So the clan with full ranks dominates right now. If all clans are filled, then sure the general level of eq the members wear is a major factor. Examples:
there were three guardians almost always in the realm- they had little trouble with Uli, who was equiped like a christmas tree; or i remember a log, where Zerthan barely saved his life against four Solamnics. On the other hand, in war of Warders and Guardians, guardians had the upper hand, having better eq, though the numbers from each side were pretty much equal.
So i would say death and loss of eq of one member of the clan has only relative effect on the possibility of that clan's domination.
