There are hell of a lot Dragonlane books. And not all of them are good.
Ive read only few and it was many years ago, but I would recomend you to read books of original autors - Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.
For list of the books ask Google or Wikipedia Smiley

Yeah, there are a lot, I own most. Roll Eyes

Weis & Hickman are good for sure, as are Douglas Niles and Don Perrin, and individually I also recommend The Linsha Trilogy, Kang's Regiment (2 books), and Vinas Solamnus.

There are other good books to be sure (And some not so good, as Bacuha said Wink), but these are the ones which spring to mind quickest.

Kang's regiment rocks for sure.  Grin
There are three main trilogies as far as i am concerned: 'War of the Lance', 'Story of the twins' and 'War of Chaos'. There are not exact names though. I also liked the 'Dragons of a new age' about the Heroes of the Heart by Jean Rabe, though the Dhamon saga, which is the sequel to it i did not like too much.

The other DL book I read was "Dragonlance chronicles" and it is also a trilogy of books containing dragons and seasons in its titles. During the reading I came to a conclusion that there were some books previous to the "Chronicles", 'cause the writers often digressed to some previous event not described in the "Chronicles"... Can someone help me out and other DL newbie readers about the DL chronology? Wink

In fact in the original trilogy Dragons of Autumnt ... something, Of Winter somethihng and Spring something some facts about past are described for sure, but it doesnt mean that you should read Heroes (Huma and etc)  trilogy (I belive its called so) before. You definetely should start from original trilogy. I would recomend to read Trilogy of the Twins also, other is optional I belive. For example im not intrested in history of  so called 5th age (after fight with  chaos happened and Gods left the krynn) at all.

Ok. I love reading. And I do read a lot of books. (And NO!! I don't read those trashy love, kissy stories - like MILLS and BOON!!) But anyway, aside from reading things like Lord of the Rings and the Dragonlance series because they are interesting, what benefit do you get from them as far as playing the game?

Sometimes there are arguements like ... read the books man!!! How do they help you in playing the game?

(blooming heck!! I have an Indian Ringneck Parrot on my shoulder, and I am supposed to TAME THIS BIRD!!! BUT IT BITES ME!!!! OUCH!! MY EAR MY NECK OUCH!!!! ) Thank the bird for this short post  Kiss   Tongue
