I play guitar, and I made a quick video of a song I wrote. Caution: it's METAL! It's just me on my cheap ibanez, and the quality is kinda bad (small camera sorry). I used to perform this with my band for ridiculously small audiences. Any feedback is welcome (leave it here, on youtube or both hehehe).

You guys got any of your music I can sample?

Cool, cool. I use to have a band too we played alot of spiderbait and nirvana and stuff. After that i sang for a creedence cover band for a while, but nobody in our town wanted to hear older music so we quit and then my guitar was stolen and i hadn't bought one since till a month ago, which made it about 7 years since i had owned a guitar heh. Now im a karaoke dj, which is pretty cool. You would be suprised how many people can belt out an awsome bon scott.

Yeah Nui, i'll have to get/borrow an external soundcard, because the one I have now is garbage and hard to access.

For mixing music I've been recommended pandora, but I can't seem to find it (there are a surprising amount of computer progs named "pandora"). Anyone have a link?

I'm not claiming to be an amazing or even good guitarist. I just thought the song was catchy and want to see what you guys think.

P.S. I would love to hear habb doin' some shreddin!

Spectrum Analyzers:

What are you into.... fingerpicking/flamenco? I dig classical, and I'm really into prog so i'm not just another metal head Smiley

Always a metal fan myself, don't get me wrong...but prog trance and house is honestly about as good as it gets...unless we're involving johnny cash Grin Cheesy

I uploaded a new video of me on my cheap ibanez. This song is a lot more mellow and its got a few catchy hooks. It's half jazz half metal and all smooth (if you ignore the many mistakes) Cool the recording quality on this one is significantly better, but it still got a little messy when i converted the file in WMM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVSE1L1npfo

i basically recorded it just so I wouldn't forget my ideas for a song, but decided to put it on youtube just for the halibut.

any fellow woodshedders want to share?

Recently I found this link at YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmiKoL0rlzA (It's floyd's marooned improvisation)
Proph, check it out, that guy does really nice finger tap, especially at 3:00

Very nice stuff! That guy has excellent phrasing and his tone fits that song perfectly. I've jammed over floyd tracks before, but usually just traditional blues, nothing as daring or amazing as ugur.

as for me:
I'm a big andy mckee fan (he uses the acoustic in phenominal ways) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4Igb5Yors4

I love over the top speed metal and neoclassical http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rNz9_jSeHc

and i'm absolutely in love with this song/band (particularly the last 4 minutes of vid) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH72VUa-Fso

saying my taste in music is all over the place is probably a huge understatement
