The more i fight in pk the more i think it was a bit mistake to lower pugil down, because now druid has no power to fight. Compare druid with cleric for example, cleric has sanc, druid no, cleric has swing mace druid pugil(much worse) (they have same speed, but swing do more damage and lags oponent). So the only damage for druid is sunray, but it is limited (daytime, open space). To counter pugil tuning, sunburst is enhanced a bit, but it is not a lot and sunburst is 4 hours recharge, so it is not enough.
Yeah, you can say thorgrim did lot damage with pugil, but it is normal... first he was minotaur so he could not pugil like pussy, and second he had 50 damroll.

stand off -> shield block at cleric
geyser -> wide area of attacking empowers, depends of worship at cleric
enhanced damage -> many clerics also have that
third attack -> low use when you have low hitroll (and heroes usually block it very good)
and over all that, clerics have sanctuary...
(i will gladly sac third attack for sanc Smiley )
Druids had sanc in some earlier version of mud, but instead got stand off and barkskin with 30% phisical res. Sanc is at least 40% resist to ALL...
Now pugil weakened because of heretics and druid have no damageing power, maybe geysir if you dont mind creating spring in every room.

I thought sanc was reducing all damage by 1/2 (except weapons that ignore sanc). Was it changed?

well reducing by 1/2 is same as 50% resistance to all if you have 0 resistance. Average hero would have 20% res to all so sanc would actually reduce damage for half of 80% which is 40%. It depends on your actual resistances, i was speaking generally.

Druids had sanc in some earlier version of mud,

 Explain yourself, please.
