Switched alchemy profession problem

Seems that my alchemy profession has been changed or lost.  Here is what I see in my abilities (note herbalism and alchemy):

Level  1: forest blending    100%      awareness          100%     
          axe                 72%      mace                71%     
          spear               71%      staff              100%     
          staves              71%      wands                1%     
          recall              50%      herbalism           86%     
          alchemy             14%     

but then when I try to create a potion, I get:

W> prof create potion
You cannot create that item.
You can create the following items:
Item                          Level Resources
copper chestplate                10 (6)copper ore

For some reason, my alchemy isnt allowing me to make potions, but to do metalsmithing?

Can I have my potion making back?

Something is wrong with profession IDs. Anyway, the thing is not completed and I am turning it off for now.
