Makes sense to me rp-wise as they can't recall before joining heretics either, but really makes heretic assassin more appealing than other classes.

Applicants are not allowed to use any potions. As for magic items, I think it is kosher to wear it, because as applicat you can not see magic flag, unless it is autocast of course
Using healers in towns.. mmm I would say we should leave it to applicants but spamming heal heal heal and such at healer is not that great rp idea.

Hell, I joined the Camp after admitting I used spells because the society I was a part of forced me to do it!

Yes but I find it as lame excuse. But!!! numbers of players in solace are really low so I think such things can be forgiven in case that mage did not cast during exping since group (24) cler is ooc game mechanic

Nah, I was never a part of any spellcasting group. I mostly levelled solo until 25... That's why most of my skills were mastered BEFORE joining the Camp.
p.s. dark-elves have a LONG life span!
