Perhaps there could be some bonus to sacrificing elite items. Say for instance if you are of evil alignment and you sacrifice an elite item flagged good like medallion of Mishakal or something, you gain a 50 hp bonus for 100 hours or something. Good for equipment circulation! Cleric or follower of Hiddukel could gain 500 gold or something.
And perhaps keep track of how many such items sacrificed so your immortal can see how busy you've been.

I'd say gold bonus, not temporary HP bonus. Evil sacrifices lim1 relic flagged good, 600 gold or something.

I though all sorts of bonus's, depending on the item sacrificed. Though perhaps not as large as 50hps. It would definitely have to be though out.

Everybody who knows how to transfer item, they can transfer it to char of opposite alignment Wink. Everybody who doesnt know that (and they are in minority), why would imms have to work more just because you dont know how to tranfer... eventually those who do not know to transfer, they will learn it with time... so nobody will sacrifice unique items... and imms will work for nothing Wink

ps I use Wink in posts when i am not 100% serious.

Anyway, back to topic, i don't think gold is really a good enough incentive for most classes. But things like 4% resistance to holy if your evil or 4% resistance to acid or what not depending on the items you sacrifice. Obviously its alot of items to change for support so instead could do it by flags, if it is a weapon with acidic bite for instance could have the resistance to acid etc. Bonus's should stack though cause there really aren't that many elite items available most of the time to make it abusable.

On the other note, keeping track of things sacrificed for rp is probably the best idea.
