well, it's just too easy to kick my butt with your spellbane, since I cannot put up a fight without being able to hit with magic. The only fight with a heretic was with Gorhay, sure I cannot hit him with anything at all, though I tried. Heh, I think about it a bit and realize I can't offer any advice. My invoker was destroyed repeatedly by heretics, i was a newbie though. My guess is you need to get tricksy spells like planar collapse!

There was time when EFB ignored spellbane completely, as well as 'cheat lightning'. Oh my, that was time when my invoker ruled... But, I was failing to hit a heretic with area spell when I didn't see him (that was a thief). Sure that got fixed, and the tide of war for magic again shifted to might.
