- Must have giant strength potion (str buffing gear), harden skin, golden potion, and some light light junk staff or shield at least with a knight to even look at a beefy heretic fighter.  Those maledictions are brutal stacked. 
   Yeah and if your using cure critical...you've lost .. flee.  Better off popping a wrath off here and there to check reflect rather then cure.  Also I wouldnt bother disarming unless he was blinded or had an ally ready to pick either.  Just my opinion.  It was knightly to die though 
     What's the consensus here...mounted  with a flaming staff and pugil or hope you break through a lucky wrath?

Knights are definitely fine as it is, i watched a battle between zacchaeus and bulghaz? (spelling?) as zacchaeus tried to reraid, lasted awhile with retreats on both side, it finished in the end of the last round both being at convulsing (bulghaz getting the last few hits and winning). (maybe he has log? it was good fight)

Knight can take on neutral heretic(such as bulghaz) easily. He killed you with dex/str minus's though :S
Neutral heretic, especially with being able to be wrathed and warefared can be defeated easily now. No questions to it. Catch ANY heretic without powers and he is meat to a knight hands down. A little bit of summon, some blind/curse wrath to top it off with the perfect spice. A little bit of a locked room, and ladies and gentlmen you have now a full set of fighter eq at your disposal
