Chromatic set

Is the chromatic set not supposed to work in forms?
I thought it would work because when you wear it you gain an aura, and I thought it would be the aura that does the autocasting. But it seems it is not like this.
Just wanted to check if it is bug or not.

- I wasnt sure when the topic was brought up.  Just know when in form..you are using nothing.  But aura makes it an interesting point.  Do any autocasts or spell infused gear still work in form?  Strange bracers, tiara ..etc?

Tiara I am quite sure does work, because it is the blue auras effect that counts, and the aura continues on you when you form.

Erm, the history of chromatic set, part I: it USED to work in form and it got changed cuz was too powerful. Get over it, eh? You got your manticore and that should be enough.

How about not spoiling the surprise? 

Besides... chromatic may be considered great in some situations... but alterers have great disadvantages on the other side.
Example:  physical damage.
You see how you guys of Herecy can raid tower, while I am defending, easily.
I have trouble raiding Herecy even when no one is defending. It is very very hard due to the physical resistances everyone seems to have nowadays.

Don´t get me wrong, I am not saying alterers are weak. They are very strong. Polymorph other practically gives any alterer a victory once it hits... sometimes even if you transform him into a tiger...

Well, back to topic now: All I am saying is that I thought powers would continue to work in form since they are provienent of the aura that you gaiun once you wear all the chromatic.
IDEA: Maybe they could work, only on a lessened degree?

Its kind of unfair that so many can use special items, and that those simply have no use for an alteration transmuter.
And don't blame anything on manual deda... it was hard to find, and others can find manuals just as well...

In form, only item stats will work. Tiara has innate manaregen that's why it still works in form
no autocasts will work while shapeshifted

But I am very sure that its ability to block high damage when sanced also works.

Yeah, it reduces unspeaks only... And does not work with sanc

That is not true... any cleric with sanctuary may benefit from it more then a Chislev cleric or assassin... mana regen is nice, but consider this. I don't know how much mana a healing spell costs surely it is less then what you heal in damage.
and both mana shield and fortitude of spring, you lose may more mana for each point of damage. The only advantage it has over healing is that it doesn't lag you.
More life isn't the only use of mana. 
So good aligned clerics all benefit greatly from the Tiara, more even then the season and cleric of Chislev, since these two don't have sanctuary.
Don't forget the importance of mana for mages, thus transmuters may benefit nicely from the tiara, and invokers with orbs also, especially when against a Heretic, since some of their damage overness will be cut off due to the tiara's blue aura.
Depending of the opponent, tiara with sanc will always come in handy.

This code subtracts 40% of damage taken beyond 125 (***DEMOLISH***) for specified damtype

i.e. Evil IRC gopnik strikes you for 425 damage (eradicate~unspeakable)
1. 425 - 125 = 300
2. (300*6)/10 = 180
3. 180 + 125 = 305

Resulting in total damage of 305(annihilate)
So, as can be seen, it's affect is best inspected for large amounts of damage but it does work for all damage stronger then demolishes

Tested this Tiara some time ago with ambushes. No difference wearing or not, with or without sanc...
