Deflecting attacks when flee.

You turn around, trying to escape!
Ponyen gets one more shot at you while you flee.
You deflect Ponyen's parting blow with your shield.

You can't dodge/parry/stand off/shield block/feint/hand block/other defensive skills when you "turn around" and run away from the fight. Blink and displacement spells are ok.

that's why its shield mastery, greater than dodge, parry, other common skills. Actually, while fleeing it is possible to blindly cover your back with shield and protect it, at least i can imagine it easily.
