Steal also doesn't work.

You can't pry it away.

And I’ve tried this hundreds of times. I keep getting this same message 'You can't pry it away.', no learning from mistakes or improvement. It just doesn’t work.

You cant steal items with the "inventory" flag.
This was made to protect shopkeepers and their stock. I think all shop items have this flag.
