   A ranger staff is a special weapon that only a rangers can properly
   use. Anyone else attempting to hold one will find themselves unable
   to maintain their hold on the specially carved wood. During combat the
   staff serves not only as a weapon of considerable power but also offers
   healing to the ranger. All staffs crumble away after a time to return
   the wood to the forests.
