I tried to stalk when i was in  greater wolf form. Target was obviously in area and all rooms were  connected. I could not find traces of target anyway. It was  in seasonal forest.
This bug or just my tripping?

Perhaps, the person didn't pass the room where you were stalking him/her from.

Stalk/Hunt type skills as well as mobile tracking work different from some other muds.
They check if the person has actually passed the room you are standing in, and if he did - you shadow their tracks.

Also they work across areas  Wink
