Inside the Eastern gate house of Palanthas
You stand within a large guard post placed on the edge of the city to help
maintain a standard of peace and safety within the city. It is here that
all incoming and outgoing traffic is inspected before being allowed in or
out. There is a large stairwell leading up into the city walls that tower
over the gate house, while the wilderness outside the city is to the east,
and the city itself west.
