Title: Styles.
Post by: Ritocito on September 17, 2004, 12:00:12 am
Please, tell, which benefits gives to assassin manual styles? For example - Jaguar. Is this true, that this style only give some damrol and hitrol? Of course, damrol is good, but i believe that powerful throw or devastating kicks&weapon turning is better then 5-6 damrol. Or deffence of viper stance with viper strike...
Also i want ask about tiger style - somebody, exept Beast assassins use it? I believe, that without tiger claw skill tiger style almost useless for combat.
Share your opinion, please :)

nah Tiger style is more the just fighter in relaxed style in my view as i like to play beast styles are as follows.
tiger- for tank fighting mages yes it is true the best feature of this style is tigerclaw.
wyvren- best for tank fighting other fighters. with weapon turn and amped up kicking skills this is ideal
Dragon-best for all around support as in powerful damage dealer.
vary true what they say about Rage of the wolverine- vary uneffective. but
Dragon Blood skill i belive makes up for it.
BTW if you like to have fun in combat use multiple styles during combat. if you really want to use Rage of the Wolverine best to do a quick swap to dragon style first for the added hitroll then swap back almost imedeatly. well thats all i have to say.
P.S. is it just me or have they gotten rid of Mockingbird style i miss that style.

So, anyone can tell my, that Jaguar - not uselless style?
Viper - best deffencive style with coll viper strikes
Python - best lags style with powerfull throws and latch atack
Wywvern - powerful style, which usefull for weaponturn and hard kicks
dragon style - great kicks and dragon punchs - usefull for support.
Don't know about mocking bird, but
Tiger - useless for shadow and season and usefull for beast (tiger strike)
Jaguar - we can use this style for suppoer, but i suppose, that dr and hr from this style worse, then kicks in wyvern, throws in Python or viper strikes in Viper.

Aye, agree that weapon turn not very useful, becouse it's work only when you hand blocked victim's atack. Dodge - main deffence of assassin and this fact decrease effecttivness of weapon turn. But it works and some times strike from weapon turn more powerful, then assassins punches.

eh, don't remember, maybe...
master it and you'll see
for example, when I had it on 65% It worked once per 10-15 rounds against 3 mobs
