Golem, horse, 3 zombies and their owner. And you kill this necromancer without kidnapping, blinding, poisoning or any other "funny" skills. Only direct damage.

Anyway i don't understand why didn't Xzar flee if his enemy was blinded? I think necromancer should allow his zombies and golems to take blows. it's their job. He should be too wise to make this dirt work himself ;)

He spammed some spell on me untill death ...  ::)

1. I don't spam blind. I don't spam at all.
2. I tried to cast other spells.
3. When he did rage - it took half of mine hps - so I tried to flee, but... as you can notice - rage stunned me. On next round I died.
4. zombie would die in one round after this assassin.

So... Tower Necromancer has no chances against heretic assassing, isn't it? If so we should change balance, but i just think that you did something wrong.

They only thing made me laughing. It's vampiric touch. Draining ~10hps and damage maul-mangle with 2 rounds delay makes this spell completely useless.

Please pay attention on vampiric touch - now we see main necromancer spell absolutely crap.

If i'm not wrong, if necromancer masters this spell and some others, he will gain a kind of vampiric skill, which works automatocally and does not eat mana.
It was so in old Solace, but i am not sure if this ability was kept in this version.

My comment on necromancers. Im not sure, whats wrong with them, but ALL necromancer I ever met with my heretic minofighter died in few rounds, unable to do ANYTHING to me. Im not sure about hero ranks (in logs hero-necromancers look strong enough), but until level 30 necromancers are prey now.

After mastering vampiric touch necromancers gain lichs palm skill. It changes his hands to cold type of attack and he gain the skill palm - 2 PARRIABLE attack less than vapmiric tocuh - in pk it's almost uselss - 2 disembowel at max once it 2 rounds.

Hey, mighty necromancers, can anyone comment this fight?

I'm not necromancer, but i can comment :)
Situation is opposite - at hero ranks heretic assassin have no chances against tower necros (if he have full set of minions).. if you want i can post rounds under full set of mumies - damage like dismembers and more, i can take 2-3 rounds , not more, and as usually assassin don't deal any damage at all.
About this fight - crappy minions + assassin higher at 4 ranks if i'm not mistaken.

Agree to Semaj. On low-middle ranks necromancer is a piece of meat. But on high ranks, when he is full mastered and have full set of minions he rocks. You need to spend a LOT of time to make necromacer deadly, but it worth it.

And one more additional. Assassin do not have so good resistances as ranger or fighter at least. I bet hero ranger will rape necromancer easy with his resistances. I have an oppinion that every class must have deadly opposite. In case of assassins - it's necromancer.

Today Huurk(fig, equipped in crap) and Warwick(ran) tried to reraid agains Merdok(takhisis necro). And HE raped us like kids. We both died in 2-3 rounds. I had no time even to TRY my eyejab. And Warwick had no time to rescue with animals :-) Later Korli joined us. And... funny thing - 3 lvl 30 heretics VS 1 necromancer. And we could hardly come to the dragon :-) Without even speaking of killing him together. The only plan I could imagine - whyle Merdok is busy killing one of us, others damage dragon. The problem is that this doestn get much time for Merdok :-) And we'll have to make about 3 raids if noone would heal dragon ofcourse :-)

So necromancers definetly worth training :-)

Not sure if something will change on hero ranks, but for now necromancer is the one who rapes :-))

With physical attacks you almost have no chances. Necromancers are well-protected from it. But they suffer from magical attacks and directed skills that mostly must have none type of damage.

While necromancer is with it's minoion he is a ruler of situation. Just take him out of them it and he would die in a second. By the way, do shadow assassins have kidnap now?

Doesn't matter you will not parry good. You only need to make necros flee. I think one lucky round will make him to flee away from his minions. On 25 rank worn in HPs eq I have less than 400 (without channel), naked I have about 200. Necromancer class is most thin in the health. Remember thank minions assisting only on 2nd round, and instead of attacking with assassinate which causes long lag, just try to wear magic weapon and attack with murder.

ps. I think shadow assassins need kidnap. It's the most funny and usefull skill of this class.
