I don't think I have ever read of a knight who'd come to the evil goddess of oceans to ask for her favour in the way you did...

You can add some signs telling about your faith and personality... Like scars, tattoos, embroidery on your clothes and so on....

I'd done it so many times trying to get my group into Netherworld It was real fun.

Nothing special here, teleport always works like this. It transfers you into a random room, and the room can be anywhere even in the World's Edge or Netherworld. Players use it sometimes in PK when they think the situation is awful, concerning that it's better to die from a creature than from a player, because your con is given one more chance and your items return to your Temple.
