ok. There is a place near the western gates of Nethosak

Before the Western Gates of Nethosak
  You stand before the towering west gates of Nethosak. They are bolted shut,
and chains also connect the sturdy gates. Some guards are posted here, and
they seem to pay no attention to you, although you guess they are secretly
watching you pass by. Beyond the gates you see a wide field, which seems to
lead into a prosperous forest. Your exits are east along Market Street West,
or south along the city walls.To the north lies a large stone building from
which sounds of laughter can be heard.

A strong looking cityguard stands here eyeing all that goes by.
A minotaur walking casually down the streets slowly walks by you.
A minotaur gateguard stands before you, manning his post.

Now, I have been in this place MANY times before and always could open door.

What gives?

In a light and airy room
  You are standing within a room that is of good quality, obviously
for the richer guests that may stay here. The bed looks soft and
comfortable, a rug covers the cold ground and a large copper bathtub
is filled with steaming water against the wall. A vase of fresh
flowers has been placed on a table near the bed. A fire blazes
brightly in a small hearth, lighting the room. The door is to
the south.

Tis a weeeee bit confusing when there is no other door expect west.
