Maybe let's add some spell to Guardians which will strike players with chaotic ethos very hard, and lawful badly:

You concentrate for a moment and send a zealous prayer to Kiri-Jolith, Sword of Justice.
Your will of Justice scratches somejerk!

or smth like this.

maybe something to add would be a power that can only be used on criminals.

Cast it and if successful, it will give 1-2 rounds of lag of varying degree based on ethos.

i.e:

You feel remorseful about your crimes, and contemplate turning yourself in.

Something like that.
The lag would be of varying effectiveness based on ethos, i.e: would land more successfully on lawful criminals , then neutral criminals, then chaotic criminals. Not really too powerful for pk/etc, but as a roleplay aspect it seems cool.

Sometimes you can be flagged after committing no crime. Why would you feel remorseful about your crimes in that case?

well...in my experience, usually when flag has been placed accidentally/wrongly, it is usually resolved in timely manner with little/no chasing or apprehension of criminal before that. Maybe it is different for other people

How about clearing things up about the Guardians first? It seems that the fact, that no evils are accepted now went unnoticed.  Shocked
But this really makes it justice for neutrals and goodies. No evil now should have faith in guardians. Also the whole concept of lawfulness seems strange. For a Takhisis knight, who is lawful, but not in the sence of city laws, but the laws of his Goddess, can slay a Kagonesti, who follows nature Laws, but is not lawful in the sence of Guardians, and the knight will be trusted more by the guardian, because his judge spell shall tell him, that one is lawful, other is neutral. Sorry, for such complicated way of expressing my thoughts.  Roll Eyes
And for sure the info on the site and in game should be updated.  Wink

For me, way to the guardians closed as I prefer to play evil characters. Actually I, first, wanted to complain, but Immortal's work made me trust them, that they do not change things for no reason. That is why I just accepted that fact.

Good thing someone trusts you, when you don't fully trust yourself  Smiley
I've made a suggestion to other Imms about guardians and current ethos system (which is initially flawed, imho), so we'll probably see some changes soon.

There are easier ways to improve Guardians. Allowing them to use special guards whilst defending their clanhall sounds logical at least.
