yep, druids were with sanc before. but its overpower really because now someone keeps all 10 red dragon orbs in fear that druids can get one

It isn't like all cleric have ench. damage...and maybe take away or down down off. spell. like hamerfist or something. or make swing lag the person more. hero good clerics can't hold people at all unless summoned.

many classes can not hold when solo pk, not only clerics.(mage, druid, necromancer (no need though), transmuter)
and bash is weak, unless 2-3 man bashing there are chance to flee

Priests have an unblockable holding skill - swing. Works every two or three rounds, sometimes three times in a row. I think that is enough holding power for any priest. And actually no class in solo combat can hold another to death on hero rank, unless maybe assassin with latch. And in non-solo: three priests would hold someone just as good as three fighters i think. But your point maybe is that, with not bad holding power they lack the damaging power to make the death of the opponent quiker, giving him no chance to use a failed hold? Well, first of all a lot of priest are meant as supporters, and second, many can be equiped well enough to land conciderable damage.

Im not that experienced, but, IMHO, invokers and heretics are death for clerics. And alteration transmuters maybe they all just overdamage you like hell. And thats allright. Every class fall to some other.
Or do you really expect to overdamage heretic and have all your healing\protective powers as a bonus? Can they kill you if you dont risk? No. Thats the feature of clerics, IMHO

i always play clerics and it would feel nice to just walk up a heretic and bash him good..so to speak...haha i know i'm dreaming sometimes i get them to gushing before i start to run out of mana... :

It is rather possible to overdamage a heretic with a priest. The result may vary from time to time, but in general it is so. Of course a clanned priest i mean, as we are talking about heretic, who is also clanned. Invokers... Hmm. You mean clanned invokers i suppose. Again, for priests with fire and lightning resist in some clans they are just a match.
Of course all that requires preparations and good equip.

Well, only one way for a priest- swing  . Full spell-up, potions included, and a mace of good dam type. With a lot of hp, it is possible to overdamage. Do not forget to replace cleaved shields with a trigger and try to stay mounted as long as possible (though the last one is not easy to achieve).

i don't do bad. with red tinted mace. ring of wiz. and shield of a dragon in battle for lil extra heal. one heal instead of two. and swing the crap out of them. if only i could blind them i would have a shot... but with the new warpaint and has soon has they kill my mount i'm a goner...i should have clanned

There were a few nice logs from...oh, what was his name...Dwarven Priest of Kiri-Jolith or Paladine, Grandmaster at the time Orlein was in it...

Anyways, some nice logs of him fighting on even footing against 2 heretics even, just not sure if they're still on this site...anyone have them, to repost?
