What I see here is three heretics, two of whom have just got into hero PK and are barely equipped, and also don't even have the optimal races, fighting against much better prepared team. And doing that badly.

Concerning the equipment I would win last place if competition between participants has ever taken place.

All right, they have decent eq. No gauntlets of striking, porcelean masks and other powerful items, but good enough.
Still, it's hard to compare these heretics with an outcast who spent a few weeks on 30th rank preparing.
And they had considerably lower ranks (Xonoth probably was 34th).
And I'm still not impressed with their fighting style.

(And the old heretics could not reraid if anyone made outer guard invisible, could be summoned to a locked room/air/... and be stuck there forever, and that's what I miss about them.)

actually, the battle was decided by 2  spells - haste & enlarge. Due to renx being hasted & and prolly enlarged, they couldn't dirt him/bash him. that and dragons = death.
