Arcane Insight

This utility spell allows the caster to appraise a target's ability to resist various elemental attacks. With Arcane Insight, the mage can make an informed choice about which of their many spells will be most effective in combat. Higher skill levels allow more elemental types to be analyzed.

Example:

You take an appraising look at a target...
Target appears to have the following resistances:
         Less|More
Magic        |++
Elec         |+
Fire         |+
Acid      ---|

Was thinking, for starters, you are able to read four resistance, and when mastered, you can read a maximum of eight.
